Media Encryption
tawktoo uses Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP) for end-to-end media encryption. Your video and audio streams are encrypted between your browser and our SFU server.
SFU Architecture
We utilize a Selective Forwarding Unit (SFU) topology. This means each participant sends media to the server, which then forwards it to others. This architecture is efficient and secure, allowing for high-capacity rooms without compromising your direct connection privacy.
Recordings
When you record a meeting, the data is stored temporarily in your browser's local storage (Blob). Once the recording is stopped, it is downloaded directly to your device. We do not store your recordings on our servers.
Analytics
We use aggregated usage statistics to improve our service. We have no intention of using or selling your personally identifiable data.
